As a christian with many years under my belt, both as a minister and as an active member, I am disturbed and ashamed of the ease with which complacency can creep in and take root. There is too little transformation and too much tradition in the rear view mirror dominating my walk. I know better than to accept this in my life and am this moment repenting of feeble momentary surrender, and pleading for God's enduring transformation of my life and that of His Church.

Hi Scott,

Hope things are going well at the church.

Great to hear that you have been doing a sermon series based on Keller's "The Prodigal God." This is currently being translated into Czech and we are also hoping that will soon be the case "Reason for God as well." Navrat domu who we work with quite closely is hoping to soon get the rights to it.

Thanks as always for your prayers and support for the "ministry of books" through the library

Because of Christ

Wow; something to ponder. I see both sides...this is a dialogue we could certainly get into. (No pun intended, really). In my education, I have seen what communicating correctly does to the communication process; try reading and understanding the IRS code. Communicating correctly does not always translate into communicating effectively. When spreading Christ's love, of course the latter is more important, and yet I do agree with your point of striving for excellence. Afterall, we are called to be perfect as He is perfect.

Amen, brother.
We are so placated by mediocrity. Our senses that God designed to be sensitive to the moving of his hand are numbed from overstimulation by the "blessings" of our society. Our souls no longer know what quiet is for unless we guard them, they rarely experience it.
