We want our children to acquire a "taste for God's grace" by creating an environment where He will take hold of their lives and prepare them for a life of service. Here are some of the ways we do this.
Sunday Morning Worship:
Sunday School Classes for children of all ages meet during the second hour, from 11:00-11:50 a.m. Look for an usher or the color-coded directions on the walls downstairs!
On Wednesday nights, 6:45-8:00pm, our children play a game, have a lesson time, and sing some songs. Right now they're learning the Old Testament Books and memorizing scripture. We also have a Handbell Choir and a (vocal) choir for the kids.
Some other regular events are VBS (last year we had over 80 different kids!), Summer Camp, Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival (Halloween alternative), Jesus' Birthday Party, Christmas Nativity Reenactment (the kids get to play dress up and act out the story), and a baseball game, to name a few.
We also take our children's education seriously and believe that raising intelligent, well-rounded kids is spiritual work! So we have a great Children's Library with books and videos that any child can check out. They can also just hang out in the Children's Library and do some reading or viewing on the couches!
